FAQs
Which barcode format should I use?
CODE128 is the most flexible and works well for mixed letters and numbers. Use EAN13, EAN8 or UPC for retail products and ITF14 for shipping cartons.
Why does my EAN or UPC code fail?
Those formats only accept digits of a fixed length: 13 for EAN13, 8 for EAN8, 12 for UPC and 14 for ITF14. Double-check the number of digits.
Can I print the generated barcode?
Yes. Download the PNG and print it at 100% scale without resizing so the barcode stays sharp and scannable.
Is the barcode generator free?
Yes. All Handio tools are free with no sign-up, no watermarks and unlimited barcode generation.
