What counts as a word?
Any group of characters separated by spaces, tabs or line breaks counts as one word. Punctuation attached to a word is included with it.
How is reading time calculated?
Reading time is an estimate based on an average reading speed of about 200 words per minute. Speaking time uses roughly 130 words per minute.
Does my text leave my device?
No. All counting happens in your browser, so your text is never uploaded or stored anywhere.
