FAQs
What formats can this scanner detect?
It uses the browser's native BarcodeDetector API and reads QR codes, EAN-13, EAN-8, CODE-128, UPC-A and CODE-39 barcodes.
Why is my browser not supported?
The BarcodeDetector API is currently available mainly in Chrome and Edge. On other browsers the tool is disabled to avoid false results.
Can it detect multiple codes at once?
Yes. If your image contains several barcodes or QR codes, the scanner lists each one with its format and raw value.
Does the scanner upload my image?
No. Detection runs entirely on your device in the browser, so your images are never uploaded or stored anywhere.

Tips and Limits
This tool depends on the BarcodeDetector API, which needs a recent browser such as Chrome or Edge, and detection works best on clear, well-lit, un-skewed images with enough resolution.
